SMMT wanted to pay tribute to UK Automotive, an industry that has demonstrated agility, adaptability and quick thinking during the pandemic, SB3 Digital created a moving finale to the SMMT’s Annual Update, a virtual live event. In addition we created the opening film for the event that captured the reality of a most unprecedented year.
Filming for the opener was concertinaed into a short space of time following the lockdown and included filming the two day event SMMT Drive Zero, Vauxhall Motors in Luton and Optare in Selby, Leyland Trucks and Ford interviews were captured on Teams/Zoom owing to Covid related restrictions. Animated graphics tied the logo, name captions and messaging throughout.
Where events are concerned there is no other location in London, the capital of cutting edge. Events planners who bring their event to London cement their reputation for being ahead of the game and give delegates the opportunity to do business with those also at the leading edge in technology, finance, life sciences & the creative industry. Commissioned to create a film that celebrated and promoted London’s cutting edge in these sectors and therefore best placed as an event venue, we filmed interviews with leading lights across all sectors and applied a parallax editing style to our film to embrace the cutting edge theme. Two film versions were created, one music only version for event stand purposes, one including soundbites for online & presentation purposes plus 5 shorts were created for use on twitter.
Commissioned by London & Partners & UKTI, our brief was to create a film that would shine a light on the Americans who live and work in London and the UK who are helping to shape our tech sector. In order to encourage other US tech businesses or entrepreneurs to consider expanding or setting up here we wanted to present more personal stories of our interviewees experiences offering a more intimate insight into motivating factors for making the move across the pond. To achieve this we opted for a more intimate setting with interviewees speaking directly into camera to engage and connect with the audience.
The film was launched at SxSW Conference in Austin, Texas and shared on youtube and other social media platforms proving very popular (currently 142K hits) and even bringing a VP to tears!
After the recent challenges, debates and controversy surrounding emissions and air quality, SMMT commissioned SB3 Digital to create a video that would help create a clearer picture of the automotive industry’s significant progress on emissions reduction. Using animation we were able to deliver that message in a brand neutral and consumer facing way.
The video is being promoted on Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, key media outlets and will also be shared by SMMT members.
The Camelot Group commissioned SB3 Digital to create two films to be shown at a get together of all Camelot UK employees to be held at Wembley. An important part of the day was dedicated to bringing to life The National Lottery’s Life Changing story for everyone, whether they work in the contact centre, finance or retail.
The first film needed to show how staff members through their own personal circumstances had experienced first hand how The National Lottery funds Good Causes and what impact this funding has had on their families as well as the charity or association they support including HomeStart, Northampton Association for the Blind, Caerphilly Stroke Association and the Peace Hospice. Filmed over two days at Camelot premises across the UK, we were able to capture a variety of personal testimonies that were poignant and moving for the audience, celebrating the work of everyone in the room.
The second film featured here celebrates The National Lottery Winners and how the work of Camelot UK employees helps change the lives of those weekly winners.
